The International Festival of Beer
The National Brewery Centre, Burton upon Trent
Friday 11th – Sunday 13th February 2011
The Beer Festival with a real difference! A unique opportunity to visit the attractions
at The National Brewery Centre, learn about, taste and appreciate a selection of over
750 beers from around the world.
The Festival immediately follows the 125th Brewing Industry International Awards to be
held at the NBC. Awards judges will be giving a series of beer appreciation lectures at
the Festival itself.
At the Festival Beers will be available to sample from the UK and from 30 other
countries, including:-
Australia, Belarus, Belgium, Brazil, Cambodia, Channel Islands, China, Croatia, Czech
Republic, Denmark, Finland Germany, Greece, India, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan,
Peoples Democratic Republic of Laos, Lithuania, Malta, Mongolia' Mozambique,
Myanmar, Namibia, New Zealand, Norway, Singapore, South Africa, South Korea,
Spain, Sweden, Tanzania, Uganda, UK, USA.
Four separate tickets are available, advance booking prices are shown and include
six one third of a pint beer sampling vouchers. Additional sampling vouchers available -
3 additional beer tokens for £3 – or six additional tokens for £5, to be used as additional
one third pint tasters or 1-2 pints of preferred ale.

Friday 6.30pm – 11pm. £10/person (£12 on the door)
- Beer sampling. Live music from Dr.Busker. Food purchasable from Brewery Tap
or BBQ or Hog Roast food kiosks
Saturday 10am – 5pm. £8/person (£10 on the door)
- Beers to sample. Inclusive entrance to all museum attractions. Traditional music
from the Ibstock Brass Band and sessions on site by actors. Barrel rolling and
craft displays. Appearances by Shire dray horses on site and around Burton
Saturday 6.30pm – 11pm £10/person (£12 on the door)
- Beer to sample. Live traditional jazz. Food purchasable from Brewery Tap or
BBQ or Hog Roast food kiosks.
Sunday 10am – 5pm £8/person (£10 on the door)
- Beers to sample. Inclusive entrance to all museum attractions. Traditional brass
band. Barrel rolling and craft displays. Appearances by Shire dray horses on site
and around Burton.
Additional special events only bookable in advance:-
- Saturday - Beer appreciation lectures with Awards judges. £5/person
- 10am 'Introduction to beer' by Larry Sidor, US judge – find out why beer is the
nation's favourite tipple – as experts enhance your beer appreciation skills.
- 11am 'How to taste beer'
