Paranormal Investigations offer Scanner Support
Burton upon Trent, Staffordshire, UK – On the 22nd of May 2010, The National Brewery Centre, Burton upon Trent, is playing host to a team of paranormal experts who are making their preliminary investigations into the countless ghostly sightings that have occurred at the Horninglow Street attraction over the years.

The investigation, which is being carried out by a Midlands-based group of experts called Research into the Paranormal (or R.I.P), is a precursor to a series of charity paranormal events that will take place at the site. These events, which will be open to the general public, will generate much-needed funds for the Burton Queen’s Hospital Scanner Appeal.

Steve Hamilton, from the National Brewery Centre, said: “The scanner appeal is our nominated charity for 2010 and we, along with our partners Research into the Paranormal, are a delighted to be able raise money for this worthy cause with these events.”

“When we took over the site back in November last year, we were told tales about strange sightings and unexplainable events that have taken place here over the years. Some of our new staff here were sceptical until they started to experience it for themselves.”

Steve Wellington, head brewer at the Centre’s White Shield micro-brewery, revealed one such story: “I was told by a former bar manager that after closing up for the evening, he spotted someone walking through the bar area and out into an adjoining corridor.”

“Following the figure, he called out that the bar was closed, but as he reached the corridor, the figure had vanished. He checked the doors and they were all still securely locked and bolted from the inside!”

Laura Martin, Research into the Paranormal’s resident psychic medium and manager, added: “R.I.P. is very-much looking forward to investigating this historic location.”

“I’m sure that we will find plenty to thrill our guests with when they come along on the 19th June for the charity event.

“It will be a hands-on, interactive experience, where we’ll actively encourage our guests to take part in the investigations. They’ll get to use the equipment and become an integral member of the team for the evening.”

During the public event that takes place on the 19th June 2010, upon arrival, guests will be met by one of the Centre’s performers who’ll tell them about the history of the site and guide them to their seats for a sumptuous two-course meal. Suitably refreshed and relaxed, they will then set off in groups, to investigate and soak in the atmosphere of the historic venue.
