An Evening of Cabaret for Burton Scanner Appeal

Burton upon Trent, Staffordshire, UK – On Friday the 23rd July 2010, a team of period performers from The National Brewery Centre, Burton, is putting on a cabaret show to raise money for The Queen’s Hospital Scanner Appeal.

Entitled ‘The Missing Marbles’, the evening’s entertainment promises to deliver a whole host of songs, from a range of different eras. Gemma East, one of the five performers taking part in the show, said: “We’re really looking forward to unveiling our singing talents to the public on the 23rd July.”

“People that have visited The National Brewery Centre will recognise all five of us as we are normally dressed period costume, adding an authentic touch to the historical exhibits.

“We have gathered together loads of songs, some old, some new and some that could only be described as ‘cheesy’!

“It promises to be fun evening and, importantly, will raise lots of money for the Scanner Appeal.”

Taking place in the Brewery Tap’s Worthington Suite, the audience will be seated at tables and they have the option of buying food from a special menu that will be available on the night (not included in the ticket price).

Tickets for the show cost £5 and, for every ticket sold, £1 will be donated to the Scanner Appeal, along with all of the proceeds of a raffle, with prizes that include dinner for two at the Brewery Tap bar and restaurant, £25 worth of Molson Coors beer, a Family Ticket for Conkers and a case of William Worthington White Shield IPA.

Tickets will be available on the door, but it is recommended that they are purchased in advance from the Brewery Tap bar and restaurant or The National Brewery Centre reception.

Doors open at 7pm, the performance commences at 8pm and there’s plenty of free, on-site parking available. Doors close at 11pm.
