The National Brewery Centre is pleased to announce the launch of a new Monthly Jazz club that is being organised and promoted by Paul Jefferies. This month's event stars Ben Holder (featuring Tom Kincaid & James Evans), Paul Jeffries and Frank Hockney. Learn about the history of this famous style of Imperial Russian Stout and how it was exported to Russia where it became a favourite in the court of Catherine The Great. Also hear about the recent 'Great Baltic Adventure' when samples were delivered to St. Petersburg in a re-enacment to celebrate the stout's remarkable history. This event is being run in association with SIBA (The small independent brewer's association). Come and sample a huge range of bottled beers selected from their 600 plus members and taste a great range of food and chocolate specialities from the regional suppliers attending. Plus ! Steam engines will be on site AND this weekend marks the return of Shire Horses to the National Brewery Centre with dray rides now also being offered. A DJ will keep the music going during all three days and Kick'n Rush will be playing live on the Saturday night. £5 per person or £18 per family day-time. Saturday night concert £8 per person. Last year's event was great - but this year's will be even better! Around 80 beer's, ciders and perries to taste, DJ both days and live music on both nights. Good food available at the Brewery Tap Bar & Restaurant, hog roast or BBQ. CAMRA members will be on hand to offer their expert advice about the beers on offer. PLUS this year we will be incorporating our annual International Barrel Rolling competition into this festival- so get a team together and join in the fun!
