  HRH The Princess Royal to open The National Brewery Centre
On Tuesday 21st September 2010, Her Royal Highness, The Princess Royal, is to officially open the new Burton-based National Brewery Centre which includes the former Bass Museum and visitor attraction now re-opened as ‘The Brewing Experience’. The Centre celebrates the UK’s brewing heritage and the industry’s far-reaching influence on beer making techniques throughout the world.

The Brewing Industry International Awards 2011 are to be held at the National Brewery Centre in Burton-on-Trent and will be followed immediately by a new Festival of Beer, showcasing many of the participating beers.

An Evening of Cabaret for Burton Scanner Appeal
On Friday the 23rd July 2010, a team of period performers from The National Brewery Centre, Burton, is putting on a cabaret show to raise money for The Queen’s Hospital Scanner Appeal.

Entitled ‘The Missing Marbles’, the evening’s entertainment promises to deliver a whole host of songs, from a range of different eras. Gemma East, one of the five performers taking part in the show, said: “We’re really looking forward to unveiling our singing talents to the public"

  Friday Farmyard Fun at The National Brewery Centre This summer, to help parents get through the seemingly endless school holiday, The National Brewery Centre, Burton, is hosting a regular ‘Farmyard Friday’ event at the Horninglow Street attraction.

Children - who’ll get into the Centre for free when accompanied by a paying adult - will be able to meet a variety of farmyard animals such as pigs, hens, goats, ponies and, not forgetting the Centre’s two Shire horses, Major and Trooper.

  Classic Car Rally returns to The National Brewery Centre
Following the highly successful Fathers Day Classic Car Rally at The National Brewery Centre, the Burton attraction will again be playing host to a celebration of all things automobile with a visit from the Claymills Classic Car Club on the 25th July, 2010.

The Club, based out of the popular Claymills Victorian Pumping Station, is bringing along a fleet of members’ cars for visitors to the centre to admire on the 25th of July, and subsequently the last Sunday in August and September.

  Father’s Day Classic Car Rally at The National Brewery Centre
This Father’s Day, 20th June 2010, The National Brewery Centre in Burton is playing host to a celebration of all things automobile with a visit from the Claymills Classic Car Club.

The Club, based out of the popular Victorian pumping station bearing the same name, is bringing along a plethora of members’ cars for visitors to the centre to admire throughout Sunday.

  Paranormal Investigations offer Scanner Support
On the 22nd of May 2010, The National Brewery Centre, Burton upon Trent, is playing host to a team of paranormal experts who are making their preliminary investigations into the countless ghostly sightings that have occurred at the Horninglow Street attraction over the years.

The investigation, which is being carried out by a Midlands-based group of experts called Research into the Paranormal (or R.I.P), is a precursor to a series of charity paranormal events that will take place at the site. These events, which will be open to the general public, will generate much-needed funds for the Burton Queen’s Hospital Scanner Appeal.

  New Staffordshire Visitor Attraction Opens
The National Brewery Centre, the much-anticipated, world-class visitor attraction, will open on Saturday 1st May 2010.

Situated in the heart of the town that is synonymous with the British brewing industry, Burton upon Trent, the new centre will serve as a focal point for the celebration of the far-reaching influence that the town’s pioneering brewing methods have had throughout the world.

The site was originally home to the Bass Museum and more recently the Coors Visitor Centre, which closed during the summer of 2008. With the support of the brewer Molson Coors UK, Planning Solutions Ltd, the company behind this new venture has made some fundamental changes, which will broaden its appeal – particularly to families.

Ahead of the much-anticipated opening of the new National Brewery Centre on the 1st May 2010, the Burton attraction is on the lookout for Victorian household items that can be used as part of its educational work with groups of school children.

Formerly the Bass Brewing Museum and more recently the Coors Visitor Centre, The National Brewery Centre is a world-class visitor attraction that tells the story of brewing, from its ancient origins through to when Burton revolutionised the way beer is brewed – bringing the story right up to the present day.   National Brewery Centre Shire Horses at Conkers
As part of a weekend of celebrations that are being held at the Conkers visitor attraction in the National Forest, the National Brewery Centre’s new Shire horses will be making a guest appearance.

Taking place at the Conkers attraction in Moira, near Swadlincote, on the Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th March 2010, the public will, for the first time, be able to meet the pair - a yearling colt and a two-year old gelding.

The iconic breed is well-known for its work in the brewing industry and Planning Solutions Ltd, the company behind the new National Brewery Centre, has secured two young local Shire horses that will be at the site during weekends, school and bank holidays.

  The National Brewery Centre to Open in Burton
Planning Solutions Ltd, a British company specialising in the operation of visitor attractions, has today announced that it will be opening a brewing visitor centre and museum in Burton on Trent. This will be based at the Horninglow Road site of the Coors Visitor Centre and Museum of Brewing (formerly the Bass Museum) which closed last year.

Called The National Brewery Centre, it will retain key elements of the existing facilities, updating and reorganising the site to create a unique visitor attraction that will ensure its success well into the 21st Century.
