Closing - David Ward
Recognisable from BBC Three’s We Are Klang, David Ward is one of comedy’s most sought after presenters, writers and comedians. David’s upbeat warmth and spontaneity has made him the choice host for the heats for both BBC’s New Comedy Awards and C5’s So You Think You’re Funny? and corporates all over the UK, with a speciality in business and sports events and awards. His ability to engage with his audience and think on his feet makes him an ideal TV presenter and interviewer.
Opening - Sam Russell
Sam is an exciting newer act already making his mark on the comedy circuit, both in the UK and abroad. Warm and likeable, his optimistic, upbeat brand of comedy focuses on the hilarity of life’s weirder moments and the challenges of it’s everyday mundanities, to which we can all relate.
A natural host, Sam is a sought-after presenter and regularly comperes at comedy nights all over the country, including a resident MC spot at London’s Angel Comedy.
Also an accomplished comic improviser, Sam is a founder of the Time Out Recommended improv group ‘Shoot From The Hip’.

She has performed stand up in Spain, Germany, Norway, France, the UK, and live-streamed to China, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, and Poland. Most recently she headlined a four city tour of Bosnia and Herzegovina with her hour show "Chelsea Loves Bosnia." She combines her street smart crowd work and opera voice with relatable observations, anecdotes and stories. She is the resident MC at Off the Cuff Comedy in Herne Hill and also performs with Soho Comedy Club, Mirth Control, Funny Women, The Stand, The Comedy Store, The Glee Club, Krater Komedy, and others.
1st – Aaron Levene
Likeable, playful, self depreciating, dark story teller, Aaron Levene (Twice Jewish Comedian of the Year Finalist, Bath New Act finalist 2016), is a Buddhist Jew, whose life story is so densely strange that he had no choice but to find a way to turn it into comedy.
2nd – Valerio Sara
Valerio Sarà is an Italian eccentric who has toured his unique brand of surreal stand-up across the UK. He was born in Naples: a city where even driving a car is a pleasurable chaos and an adventurous challenge. His experience of the city’s variety and flavours lends a magnificent punch to his set.
