Domineering presence, with a taut, muscular delivery’ – Steve Bennett, Chortle
‘Excellent… Delivered with skill’ – Notts Comedy Review
"Jimbo is something of a legend...He is a real character too. A man in old age on a scene dominated by the young...a real personality." Chortle.
Jimbo is a cult act. Everyone seems to know him. He's a comic of 25 years experience. He's done a wide range of stand-up acts: clowning, minimalist, anarchic and character comedy (Tony Bournemouth). He is now in his 70th year and has returned to a simpler style of gags and story telling - with the old madness always ready to erupt. With brilliant timing, playfulness and physical comedy he reflects on growing old, delivers polished left-field gags and rages against the madness around him.
Jimbo has played: Comedy Store London and Manchester. Bearcat, London. Finalist at London's Hackney Empire. Viking Club, Blackpool. North Pier, Blackpool. Layton Institute Club, Blackpool. London Ha Bloody Ha. Worthing Pier. Yarmouth Pier. Southend Pier. Southport Pier. Sandown Pier.
