Are you ready for a laugh? Sit back, relax and enjoy The Firkin Comedy Club’s Summer Comedy Gala at The National Brewery Centre. Three top Comedians and a compère stand up to entertain you, your friends and family via a range of comedy styles.

 Your evening includes a traditional summer BBQ two-course supper menu, which will leave you filled, chilled and thrilled to not have missed such an experience.

Closing Nick Doody

Nick Doody has been performing comedy since the 90s when, as a student, he got off to a pretty good start by supporting the legendary Bill Hicks, at Bill's request. A little later, Nick was a finalist in Channel 4's So You Think You're Funny? competition.

Since then he has performed all over the world: Ireland, France, Spain, Switzerland, Germany, The Netherlands, Dubai, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Hong Kong, Thailand, Malaysia, Estonia... You get the idea. He was the first British comedian to perform in Croatia.

Nick has appeared on various radio and TV shows (listed below), and is also much in demand as a writer. He has penned jokes for Joan Rivers, Lenny Henry, Dame Edna Everage and an uncomfortable number of Mock The Week regulars. He was also the creator and head writer of Bigipedia, a critically acclaimed Radio 4 show that broadcast in 2009 and 2011. Click here for more info on Nick as a writer.

Opening El Baldiniho

El Baldiniho is a magician and prop comedian performing on TV, in comedy clubs , at festivals and at corporate events across the UK and beyond.

Recently seen on Britain’s Got Talent!

(where he got 4 yeses),  he can also be seen headlining family friendly comedy events at The Comedy Store ,Up The Creek and The Frog and Bucket.

He regularly appears at Glee Clubs , and is booked by national comedy agencies such as Off The Kerb and Live Nation

Middle Eleanor Conway

Eleanor Conway is a comedian and presenter who has been performing nationwide since 2010. A Second City alumni, Eleanor took her five star interactive comedy head to head, Comedy Rumble to Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2012/13 which then went onto have a three month sell out run at The Comedy Cafe and then optioned for development by Lion TV.  She co runs and hosts hit interactive night Gospeloke and has been a regular Musical Bingo compere since 2012 where she regularly hosted Glastonbury Festival’s Williams Green stage for 3000 revellers. 

A Comedy Store King Gong finalist, 2016 sees Eleanor bring her hotly anticipated first full hour of standup ‘Walk of Shame’ to the Edinburgh fringe.

MC Geoff Whiting

Geoff Whiting takes the stage with consummate ease and works the audience like a miner at the coal face, digging out nuggets of information to fuel his comedy." - Independent on Sunday 

Geoff Whiting is an established and popular compere, as well as a strong and versatile act. He has appeared at the Edinburgh Festival, on television and radio and at every notable comedy club in the UK. He is also an established TV warm up. 

He is one of only a handful of comics worldwide to have performed stand up comedy in a pod on the London Eye (for ‘The One Show’ BBC1) and was the first English Speaking comic to ever perform at Club 99 in Bucharest, Romania in 2010. 

Geoff is now the resident MC for 'Britain's Got Talent' contestant show case gigs at the Hen and Chickens in Islington each year, he has hosted these shows in front of the producers of BGT for the past two years.
